Meowdy y’all!
Wow, that Mutual Aid stream we did for Lexington went so well. We hammered through the $690 line and hit just over $1300 for him, meaning everything he needed, plus another two things paid for.
Let’s have a quick look at a couple of clips from the marathon!
One thing we had a lot of fun with was just making him blush by telling him how amazing he is. Like this:
Here’s when the amount went over the main ask:
And here’s the end. Two surgeries and a name change:
Lexington is so happy. We got him things he needs, because that’s what we do for each other.
Speaking of which, it’s Kaemsi’s turn next! She wrangles the social media, and some of the gfx, and is always around as a kind, funny, helpful person.
But she lives in South Africa, and she’s subject to load shedding, meaning she’s left without power for hours a day. And because the electricity system is old and failing, that can turn into days at a time.
So today, in association with the Disabled Content Creators Collective we’re kicking off a 72 hour raid train marathon. That’s where one person starts, streaming for an hour or two, then raids the next scheduled streamer, bringing their viewers. Then we repeat that, going around everyone scheduled, until the time is up!
We’re going for 72hrs because that’s about how long the longest blackout has lasted.
And the amount is rather more, because we’re here to get Kaemsi the means to have electricity when the grid is down! The total she needs is $8600, and we’ve gathered streamers, created incentives—including some donated from other awesome folk. And I have the great pleasure of kicking it all off today!

I’ll let you know how it all goes next week, but meanwhile—please donate if you can. Please share. Please come along to cheer Kaemsi and the streamers on. And thank you for being a part of a community that does amazing things like this for our people.
